I'm a 34-year-old single mom with two boys (ages 6 and 9). I've been divorced for two years and I think I'm finally ready to start dating again, but I'm nervous. I don't have a lot of free time between work and parenting, and I need someone who understands that my kids come first. Are there dating apps specifically for single parents? Or should I just use regular apps and be upfront about having kids?

Hi Lisa! Single dad here (one daughter, age 7). I feel you on this! I think u can use Hinge, Bumble or other popular dating apps, the main thing I did was just put it in my profile from day one. "Proud dad to an amazing 7-year-old" right in my bio. Yeah, some people swipe left because of it, but those aren't my people anyway. I'd rather filter them out immediately than waste time chatting with someone who doesn't want to date a parent.

I'm a single mom (one daughter, age 5) and I've had good luck on Hinge. I mention my daughter in my profile - not in a "my kid is my world and you'll always be second" way, but just factual: "Single mom to a wonderful 5-year-old girl. She's my priority, but I still make time for the right person."

Just want to give you hope: I'm a single mom who met my now-husband on Bumble 3 years ago. We got married last year and he's an amazing stepdad to my two kids. My advice: Use whatever app has the most active users in your area (Hinge, Bumble, or Tinder) and just be honest about your situation. Focus on finding quality people, not quantity. Good luck! ❤️
